RAMPARTS was developed by a father who wanted to engage his son in simple woodworking and a game that didn't involve a screen, or even electricity. By its nature, RAMPARTS is a fast-paced, explosively kinetic experience, which kids will love. However, RAMPARTS is also about intuitive exploration and experiential learning. Children and adults alike will have the opportunity to experiment with physics, resource management, and tactics while attempting the deceptively difficult task of toppling their opponent's king piece!
RAMPARTS was successfully funded on Kickstarter at the end of April of 2017. Thanks to the generosity of dozens of wonderful, supportive, similarly-minded backers, we were able to being mass production of RAMPARTS and begin investigating the process of making sets available worldwide.
In June of 2017, the last of the initial "alpha" sets were produced and shipped to backers, thus opening production up for on-demand order fulfillment. In keeping with the ethos of the original Kickstarter project, each and every set is still handcrafted, one piece at a time.
As implied by this, RAMPARTS is generally available direct to customers. If you are interested in a large order, or would like to discuss bulk ordering for retail, RAMPARTS does have a unique UPC and is ready for retail sale. Though it is early in development and distribution, we would be prepared to discuss options. Please contact us via the Contact Us page.
